Delicious coffee!
Delicious taste, delightful aroma
Hi Robert, thank you for the five-star rating! We're glad you enjoyed the Summit Crest-Brazilian Coffee. Hope to serve you again soon!
Specialty coffee isn't just a marketing term — it's a certified standard. To earn the designation, coffee must score 80 points or higher on the Specialty Coffee Association's (SCA) 100-point quality scale. That's a grade reserved for the top tier of coffee worldwide — roughly the top 5% of all beans grown.
This classification means our beans are free from primary defects, carefully sourced from high-altitude farms, and full of distinct, exceptional flavor. From farm to roastery, we uphold strict quality control so every cup delivers the rich, nuanced experience that defines true specialty coffee.
Not sure where to start? Here’s a simple guide. If you like smooth, familiar, easy-drinking coffee — start with one of our Dark Roast, Black Crest Blend, rich, bold, and approachable. If you want balance — try our Medium Roast, Crema Classic, smooth body with more flavor complexity. If you’re ready to explore something unique — go Single Origin, one farm, one region, one distinct flavor story. Our Sidama Sunrise-Ethiopian is perfect. If you love espresso — explore our full coffee collection and look for espresso-friendly roast profiles. And honestly, most of our beans are espresso friendly.
Our Love-It-Or-Make-It-Right Guarantee: We know trying a new brand takes trust. If your first choice isn’t the perfect fit for your morning, just let us know. WIth our 5-star reviews, you may find helpful guidance as well, or we’ll help you find a roast you love or take care of you. No "coffee snob" attitude, no stress—just a promise that you’ll enjoy a better drinking experience.
This isn't your average bag of coffee in a mailer. Every order is shipped in our signature Crema Peaks protective box—designed to shield your beans from light and heat so they arrive exactly as the roaster intended: fresh, aromatic, and ready to brew.
Great beans deserve a great brew. You don’t need expensive equipment — just a few basics. Always use fresh beans — stale coffee is the #1 flavor killer. A burr grinder makes a big difference, even an entry-level one. Use filtered water at 195–205°F. Start with a 1:15 ratio of coffee to water and adjust from there. The right brew method unlocks everything the roaster worked hard to create.
The best way to develop your coffee palate is simply to pay attention as you drink. Ask yourself: Is it bitter or smooth? Does it taste bright and fruity, or deep and chocolatey? Does it need anything added — or is it great on its own? Over time, you’ll start to notice the difference between origins, roast levels, and brew methods. Every cup is a chance to learn something new.
Once you’ve found a coffee you love, go deeper. Try espresso drink recipes at home — lattes, cappuccinos, and more. Upgrade your setup with quality coffee makers and brewers. Add grinders, scales, and accessories to dial in your brew. And follow The Peak Journal, our education blog for coffee lovers at every level. The deeper you go, the better every cup gets.
